Well, It’s official. The St Louis Rams are moving to LA!
In a decision made on a 30 – 2 vote by league owners, the Rams make a long awaited return to Los Angeles.
In the same vote, the San Diego Chargers have the option to join the Rams in Inglewood.
If the Chargers do not exercise their option to relocate, the Raiders would then have the option to join the Rams in Los Angeles, the commissioner said.
The St Louis Rams will kick off the 2016 season in Los Angeles and are expected to have their own stadium built by the 2019 season.
The stadium itself, which will have artificial turf, has to be sunk 100 feet into the ground because it’s so close to the airport; the roof will rise 175 feet above ground level. It’ll be accessible to patrons from all sides, with loading and mechanical stuff all underground and accessible via tunnels.
